As hard as it is to believe, the holidays are upon us. Hanukkah is over, and we are just a few days away from Christmas. And New Year's. As in, the end of 2007. Below is a little taste of what Twisted has in store for 2008.
Firstly, we are closing shop for a bit around the holidays. Twisted will close on Sunday, December 23 at 8pm, and will reopen Tuesday, January 1 at 11am with a New Year's SALE (see below)! We are both going to spend the holidays with our families - Shannon is heading to Montana to hang with her fam-dangly, including the perfect new niece Sasha, and Emily is flying to Indiana to chill with her folks.

Out with the old and in with the new - that's our motto to ring in 2008. We have some very, very, very exciting new brands on the way, and we need to make room. So, we're discounting select yarns from 20% - 40% off, including:
Last-Minute Holiday Gifting
Many of us are frantically crafting away into the wee hours of the night to finish those final gifts. If you are still looking for some quick-and-dirty holiday projects, we've got some great ideas here at Twisted. Michelle Molis, one of our fabulous teachers and the brains behind the Japanese Vines Scarf pattern, has shared two of her one-skein projects with us, and we have free copies of each in the shop. We also have a free one-skein cowl pattern, great for keeping those tender necks warm with some chunky-weight alpaca. And that's not even delving into all of the books, pamphlets, loose patterns, and magazines we have at Twisted. It may be too late to start a sport-weight aran sweater for all of those on your list, but you can still make some special gifts. We also have gift certificates, for those who don't know exactly what the crafter in their life needs.
New Arrivals
We have received so many new items here at Twisted in the last few months, it's hard to know where to start. Bullet points are helpful in situations like this, so here goes:
Movie nights: every Friday from 6-8ish pm. Free popcorn! New year's theme: the 80's are back... We are working on the 2008 movie schedule, so check on the website or in the shop in early '08 to see what's playing at Twisted!
Twisted Classes
Last but certainly not least, we have our class schedule finalized for the beginning of 2008. We are both so excited to be offering these fantastic classes, and hope that you take advantage of the wealth of knowledge and expertise our teachers have to offer.
We are extra-super-duper excited about two January classes: the Baby Surprise Jacket class (classic Elizabeth Zimmerman), and the Felted Bag class. We are also teaching one of Cat Bordhi's sockitectures, Bartholomew's Tantalizing Socks, from her fabulously out-of-this world sock book, New Pathways for Sock Knitters. Register quickly... because we're committed to keeping our class sizes small, we expect these classes to fill up soon!
