Beginning Lace Class: Phantom Manor Shawl
$60 with Mer Stevens
Knit the beautiful Phantom Manor shawl inspired by the gothic style of Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion. You will learn the basic lace stitches while learning how to start a shawl knit from the middle out. Classes are scheduled so you have plenty of time to knit each section of the shawl before the next class.
Dates/Times: Thursdays, October 10, 24 & November 7; 6-8 pm
Materials – Either bring your own or before/during class get 20% off on: 400 yards fingering weight yarn, 32″ US size 5 circular (or size to get gauge: 22 stitches and 32 rows = 4” in stockinette), 8 stitch markers, darning needle, blocking pins and wires.
Homework: Please do a stockinette stitch swatch in your yarn that achieves gauge – this is not critical in a shawl, but your shawl may be smaller than listed in the pattern if your gauge is too tight.
Includes: Star Athena’s Phantom Manor pattern
