Parna‘s on this crazy hat kick lately, and this gem is merely the first one. It’s called Dawn to Dusk, and uses two colors of either fluffy fingering or sport-weight yarn. We love it in a single-ply, and think you will, too.
It’s a great advanced beginner pattern. You do a provisional cast on, grafting, picking up stitches, and knitting in the round.
But, let’s let the designer tell you all about it:
I am in love with this hat! In a lightweight, single-ply wool, the drape is fabulous, and it can be worn winter, spring, fall, or even on summer nights. Experiment with contrasting, variegated colorways to make your stripes blend or pop. First time knitting cables? This is the perfect project to practice cabling without getting in over your head (eek, what a pun!).
