Where in the world is Emilyshmemily?

Contest time! Does everyone remember the game show Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego?

Well, it’s time to play Where in the World is Emilyshmemily!!!!

Here are the rules:

  • If we’re friends and you actually straight up know where I am, sit on your hands and give someone else a chance.
  • Also, since I’m leaving tomorrow for somewhere else, I won’t be back to moderate for about a week. So keep guessing until then!
  • The prizes are pretty rad (I think). A really neat, crafty souvenir from this place AND a unit of the yarn in question. I’ll even pay for slow as molasses shipping if you live in the US or Canada.
  • First person to post on this blog post with the answers to all three of the questions below wins the prize!

Name the city, monument, and yarn in the photo below!

I’ll be back next week with another photo and another chance to win something cool.

  1. Oops! I guess I should read all of the questions. So I’ll try again. Hagia Sophia, Istanbul, Turkey, and maybe Schulana Kid Seta yarn?

  2. I agree with Danyelle, and it is the Hagia Sophia, Istanbul, Turkey. The yarn could be Rowan Kidsilk Haze or the Schulana Kid Seta. The photo is rather difficult to see the yarn very close up.

  3. It’s the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul and the yarn is Rowan Kidsilk Haze Stripe. Have a wonderful trip!

  4. You are at the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul, Turkey. The yarn you are using is Schoppel Wolle Zauberball in colorway 1872.

  5. i am jealous of that boy you are with. and also, are you making something for me? just kidding. kind of.

  6. Sultan Ahmed Mosque Istanbul Turkey (the minarets are wrong for the Hagia Sophia?)

    Yarn? Mochi?

    What a wonderful trip!

  7. I don’t know if Courtney won but she has the best answer! Colorway and all.

  8. I think it’s the Taj Mahal in Agra, India and that the yarn is mini Mochi

  9. Just to be a bit different, I’ll guess the Sultan Ahmed Mosque in Istanbul, Turkey. As for yarn – Berroco Sox???

  10. I think people have said all the answers, but not in the right combo.

It’s the Sultanahmet (or Blue) Mosque in Istanbul, with Schoppel Wolle Zauberball

  11. Lenka wins! Congrats! She wins a skein of Zauberball in her choice of colorway, and a handmade crocheted necklace from Turkey. Lenka – email me so we can touch base about getting you your prize!

However, I think this was pretty hard so I’m also going to send some free patterns to the first two who got most of the answers right – Courtney (yarn) and Ann (monument – good call on the minarets). Please email me so we can touch base about getting you your prize!

Thanks to everyone for playing!!! Check out today’s post for another contest!
