Just so you know

… we ARE on FlintKnits‘ now famous List of Nine stores who DID request and receive permission for our February Lady Sweater class. Go us!

We believe in crediting pattern designers for their hard work. We always check with designers of free patterns before doing classes with them. And we always ask that students go to the source website to get the pattern for themselves if at all possible. (Exceptions, of course, for those without a computer or internet. In that case, we’ll all go to the website together on the shop computer.)

It is important that designers be credited for their work both in terms of plaudits and financially. So always buy your own copy of a pattern and pat yourself on the back for doing it!

This is why I bring my business to you! You are all a class act and I hope others will follow your example.

I somehow feel superior to know I am part of the elite group who have permission, gave proper credit and recognition to the artist. Makes me proud to wear my sweater!
