Mirasol

Hap’i Saint Patrick’s Day!

Remember all those boxes we showed you last week? Well, a few were filled with a new-to-us line of yarn called Mirasol. Mirasol is a Free-Trade Project (here is a link to a YouTube video all about it).

Mirasol is also gorgeous, soft, well-priced, and, in the two days we’ve had it on the shelves, quite the hot commodity. We ordered three Mirasol yarns to start: Hap’i, T’ika, and Sulka. Although the photos are kinda grody (it’s the weather, folks, the nasty nasty weather!), you really should stop in and check these yarns out.

Hap’i is a 100% Tanguis Cotton, thick-and-thin-ish, worsted weight. It’s insanely soft, and you get 132 yards for $10.

T’ika is a 100% Pima Cotton, corded, not plied, DK-weight, 91 yards for $6.50.

sulka.jpg
Sulka is a 60% Merino Woo, 20% Alpaca, 20% Silk blend, 55 yards of heavy-worsted for $8.00 a skein.

Also, we got 6 big boxes of yummy goodness yesterday, that will be making its way out onto the Twisted floor in the next day or so. Here are some teaser photos:

It’s a real teaser – you totally can’t tell what it is, can you? Well, keep your eyes here and on Twitter, cuz we’ll be doing the big reveal soon.

If that’s what I think it is, I had a dream that I got there and it had all gone on the shelves and been picked over already! It was scary.
