Mini Mochi

matchimochi2.jpgNo, we aren’t talking about those little Japanese rice cakes that Emily loves oh, so much. (Here’s a description from Wikipedia, which makes them sound kinda nasty, but they are actually very yummy: Mochi (Japanese: 餅) is a Japanese rice cake made of glutinous rice pounded into paste and molded into shape. In Japan it is traditionally made in a ceremony called mochitsuki. While also eaten year-round, mochi is a traditional food for the Japanese New Year and is commonly sold and eaten during that time.) Although, come to think of it, that may have been the deciding factor on bringing this newest Crystal Palace Yarn into Twisted.

What we are talking about is a beautiful, multi-colored, super-soft, machine-washable blend of 80% Superwash Merino Wool and 20% Nylon that comes in a 195 yard/50 gram ball.

Mini Mochi is perfect for socks, shawls, cowls, hats, fingerless gloves, anything you want to add a “wow” factor to. It sells for $9 a ball, and we have all eight colors in stock.
