Fashion show recap

Posted by Emily in events

We want to thank everyone who came to our Louet fashion shows last weekend. It was a blast! Special thanks to our models: Amy, Leah, Parna, Julie, Melissa, Linda, Sarah, Taunia, Stefan (Shannon’s hubby), and The Pig (aka Carat, my pup), and to her handlers Alessandra and Matt (my hubby)!

If you missed it, here are some highlights. My favorite, of course, is in the bright red sweater!

Openings in Intro to Lace Workshop this weekend

Posted by Shannon in the shop, classes

One of our most popular classes is coming up this weekend, and there is still space available! It’s the Introduction to Lace workshop, starring the lovely Japanese Vines pattern, by the talented and fabulous Michelle Molis (who also teaches the class). If you’ve been in Twisted, you’ve surely seen one of the sample Japanese Vines we have hanging out here - you may have even tried one on! Well, now’s your chance to make it, knitters, and to get comfortable knitting lace while you’re at it! It’s also a great holiday gift, and we all know that it’s kinda time to start thinking about that. Eeeks.

If you can believe it…

We just got a box of MORE TREKKING 126 (the Brach’s Candy colorway). We thought the last shipment was the last out there, but…the box we received begs to differ…

We’ve got 10 more skeins…wait! Nine! (One just found it’s way into my knitting bag). When they’re gone, they may be gone. But then again, they may not.

Ooh, Baby, I love your way…

Posted by Shannon in the shop, yarn, knitting

Love Dream in Color, but longing for something lighter, more lacey? Love knitting lace, but want the convenience of easy care? Dream in Color’s newest yarn, Baby, may very well be what you have been searching for.

baby-closeup.jpgbaby-closeup2.jpg

Baby has been out for a while, but has been overshadowed by her bigger siblings, Fatty, Classy, and Smooshy. But Baby is not to be overlooked. It’s a heavy-lace-slash-light-fingering, in those gorgeous Dream in Color shades that we have all become enamored with, and at $25 for 700 yards per skein, it’s a great deal for a superwash wool.
