Hi,
I am from South Africa and a friend of mine runs a project for Thabisho ( they teach people skills and their work is then sold at local markets) she is also recruiting people to knit these dolls for traumatised children. We are currently collecting wool and will start our knitting soon!
A big thank you to everyone committed to this project.

I found you through google. i too am in vancouver, and have sent comfort dolls to africa c/o Icross (on vancouver island). i am trying to collect a database of as many people knitting these dolls as possible, and put us all into a central place to share ideas, pictures and such.. as well as addresses to send the dolls. Many people in the Uk find it cost prohibitive to send them over here first for example.

feel free to email me, i'd love to find another local knitter who does these dolls.
